Prefab door with a switch

The prefabricated door works the same way as the garage door, but it need is own power (whatever your prefabs rooms are connected or not).

Place a switch between the power and one of the 4 door connections (right or left, inside or outside). To use a proximity switch, do the same as in the next part just bellow :

Because we want the door to open when you are near, we need to invert the flow of electricity. On (closed) when nothing happen, Off (open) when the sensor go on

Connect a proximity sensor to power. Connect an inverter switch between the electricity and the garage door (top and bottom). Then connect the sensor to the the inverter switch (left)

Same as before

Stargate with a proximity switch

Directly connect a proximity switch between the power and the portal. It will open the gate only when you're near it. It's a good way to spare power from the batteries.
